מדד המנה ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension that provides real-time AI-generated nutrition analysis for dishes on Wolt and 10bis. This page explains what data the Extension handles, how it's used, and what is (and isn't) stored.

What data we collect

When you open a dish on a supported site, the Extension reads the dish's name, description, and the menu options currently selected (e.g. add-ons, drink choices, modifications) directly from the page you're viewing. This is the only data the Extension collects.

We do not collect: personal identifiers, account credentials, payment/financial information, health records, browsing history, location, or any data from sites other than the two supported delivery platforms.

How your data is used

The extracted dish information is sent to our backend server (a Cloudflare Worker that we operate), which forwards it to Google's Gemini API to generate a nutrition analysis. The result is returned to the Extension and displayed to you in a popup on the page.

This data is used solely to generate the analysis you requested. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the Extension's core function.

What we store

We do not log or retain the content of your requests (the dish data itself). The only data persisted on our server is:

• An anonymous, randomly-generated installation identifier, used solely to enforce a fair-use rate limit (currently 15 analyses per hour). This identifier cannot be linked to your identity.
• A short-lived cache of available AI model names, used only to speed up analysis - contains no user data.

Locally, on your own device, the Extension stores your preferences (nutritional goal, response detail level) and the anonymous installation identifier mentioned above, using Chrome's standard extension storage. This data never leaves your device except as described above.

Third-party services

Dish information is processed by Google's Gemini API to generate the analysis. Google's handling of this data is governed by their own privacy policy and terms. Our backend runs on Cloudflare Workers; see Cloudflare's privacy policy for how they handle infrastructure-level data.

Your data, your control

Since no personal account or identity is required to use the Extension, there is no persistent user profile to access, export, or delete. Uninstalling the Extension removes all locally-stored data immediately.

AI-generated content disclaimer

Nutrition analyses are generated by an AI model and may contain inaccuracies. This tool is intended for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as medical, dietary, or professional nutritional advice.

Children's privacy

This Extension is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
